Last nights full moon was so strong and beautiful, it made me yearn to go and camp in the forest. But I am also the first to admit that it is far too cold for that this time of the year. This morning was cold and crisp. Easy to spend a lazy morning in bed reading. Something that I rarely have an opportunity to do.
I drove out to the McCann dam before lunch, looking to see what wildflowers are out in bloom. I was surprised at the low water level in the dam considering the good run off it receives from the forest and the road. The dam was like a mirror. Beautiful reflections from the forest and the sky.
Ripples on the surface of the dam.
I wonder how Monet would paint this?
A few of the Golden Wattles, Acacia pycnantha Mimosaceae, are beginning to bloom. Attracting Hover Flies and Bees.
