The fire at the Heatherlie Quarry was very intense.

But the trees that survived are showing signs of life.

Timmins Hill Bushland Reserve

A visit to Timmins Hill after lunch today. There are small orchids around, new Wattles are beginning to bloom. this one is Acacia mearnsii.

Last Night's Sunset

Winter is almost over and the sunsets have been beautiful this week. I love seeing Lake Londsdale with water in it. It shines under Briggs Bluff as the sun goes down. Beautiful day!

Albino Magpie

I have been watching this albino magpie for the past year. You can find him most days on the Duke Sands area. Magpies will be breeding soon, so swooping season is not far away!
